Elyse is a recognized leader in nutrition policy and a passionate advocate. She has 15 years of experience leading public health and social service programs and policy-advocacy campaigns. Elyse has a strong network of partners, including policymakers, state and federal administrators, schools, community organizations, public health departments, academic researchers, grassroots organizers, and multi-partner coalitions. Prior to joining the CACFP Roundtable in 2019, Elyse spent nearly a decade leading child nutrition policy initiatives for California Food Policy Advocates.

Samantha Kay-Daleiden Marshall, MA, MPAP

Samantha Marshall started her career in child care as a teenager working for a CACFP sponsor and returned to child care to create an online community for child care providers and CACFP sponsors after securing her Master’s Degree in English. After writing, researching, and listening to the needs of the child care community she quickly became an advocate for child care providers, the children in their care, and those who support them. Samantha developed ChildCareInfo.com, co-founded T&L Foundation for Child Care Information, sat on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Family Child Care and served as the Executive Director for the National CACFP Forum. In 2020, Samantha joined the CACFP Roundtable.
