Good news for sponsors of family child care homes in California! On October 28th, CDSS CACFP Branch published guidance for Onsite Monitoring Requirements Waiver for Program Year 2024-2025.
It includes the allowance to conduct one of the three required monitoring reviews (for homes in good standing) and a possible second review for sites meeting specific distance or time-traveled criteria.
The waiver is in effect from now until September 30, 2025.
Parameters and guidance for applying for the waiver as well as some specific Q&As are outlined in this program bulletin.
CACFP Roundtable commends CDSS CACFP Branch for submitting the waiver request to USDA and providing guidance to our community members for this program year. The Roundtable is also committed to seeking out and advocating for longer-term policy solutions to ensure equitable and sustainable CACFP operations.
