On June 3, USDA released a Q&A related to Food Service Management Contracts, monitoring during Administrative Reviews and Allowable Costs During COVID-19. It is directed to all child nutrition programs. The Allowable Costs section answers questions that revolve directly around COVID-19 circumstances such as is the purchase of PPE an allowable cost and how the nonprofit foodservice account could be used to pay employees or purchase bottled water as well as many others.
