There's so much to share for family child care providers at the moment, we thought we'd put it all in one place! These opportunities range from the Roundtable's in-person Summit, online networking opportunities and webinars!


In-Person

The Family Child Care Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Summit is back and registration is open! On October 6th, family child care providers will come together to be inspired, celebrated, and learn. Join us as we talk CACFP advocacy, strategies for feeding picky eaters, telling our stories with purpose, and integrating motor skills with math concepts! Active Play with Mixed Age Groups (8/28/2024)

This session will focus on active play options for ECE programs with mixed age groups. Participants will review developmentally appropriate practice and recommendations for active play for young children, and apply these recommendations to adapt and design active play opportunities according to the needs of each age group.

Family Child Care Connections Series: Exploring Social Studies in Family Child Care Settings (8/16/2024)

Family child care learning environments offer children unique opportunities to explore concepts like community, recognizing similarities and differences and appreciating the ways that diversity enhances society. Engage in this webinar to discuss how to nurture children’s natural curiosity about the world around them, promoting cultural understanding, critical thinking, effective communication, and a sense of their own role in both local and global awareness and citizenship. Supporting Each Other and Learning Together

Family Child Care Community of Wellness is led by a steering committee of family child care providers and facilitated by the CACFP Roundtable. Consider joining one of our bimonthly meetings to discuss best practices, advocacy, mentorship and leadership in CACFP. It is an opportunity to establish relationships around health and wellness for you and the families you all serve. Interpretation in Spanish is available as well as translation of materials.
