Today, Team Nutrition, released three new training worksheets to help CACFP providers and operators confidently navigate aspects of the program. All three are in English and Spanish and can be downloaded and distributed to your networks.
Adults! Serving Adult Participants in the Child and Adult Care Food Program provides an overview of meal pattern requirements as well as flexibilities for adult participants. This includes tips for modifying meals to meet the unique needs of the participants.
Meat and Meat Alternates! This resources "Serving Meats and Meat Alternates at Lunch and Supper in the USDA CACFP" provides sample meals, recipes and a chart of minimum required amounts of meats and meat alternates at lunch and supper.
Water! "Offering Water in the USDA CACFP" provides tips for offering water throughout the day and includes ways to encourage children to drink water and offer it safely.
