Calling All CACFP Sponsors! Easy Steps to Help Us Mobilize Our CACFP Community

I hope, by now, you've seen something about our CACFP Kid Ambassador Campaign. An

effort to share with the nation at large, the direct impact your work does in our communities. Lifting up the voices of the kids who eat nutritious meals and learn how to make healthy choices all because of the CACFP. I know you are all overworked, understaffed and just plain tired of this ongoing health and economic crisis in the nation and especially in our field (I know I am!). But that's why we need to do this now! We need to make Congress see that CACFP is more than just an acronym that's hard to say. Improve and invest in it. This is how we do it.

There are a few easy things you can do to help us engage CACFP providers and make this a true CACFP movement. Please note, no video editing is necessary! Providers can just send the video to us and we'll do the rest.

  • Site Visits: Monitors could mention this during a site visit "Did you hear about how you can record a quick video of the kids saying what they like about CACFP (favorite meal, favorite book about food, setting the table, etc.)? Then send it to samantha@ccfproundtable.org and the Roundtable and Forum will get it to your congressional member to share how important CACFP is to all of us?! I'll send you the flyer with my follow up visit email." One Page Flyer. Two Page Flyer.

  • Emails: You could share this email with your providers - copy and paste it into an email you'd like to send, forward the emails when they come to your inbox or just send the link.

  • Social Media: Re-share what the Roundtable or Forum shares on their Facebook and Twitter feeds.

  • Logo: Add the logo with the link to the CACFP Kid Ambassador page on social media, website or even email logo if policies allow it!

Here are some other ideas and tools you can use. CACFP Kid Ambassador Website
