CACFP Roundtable is now seeking proposals for workshop presentations at our 34th Annual CACFP Conference. You are invited to share your experience and expertise with our CACFP community at this premier event, taking place in Monterey, CA.



Event Details:

Conference Dates: Monday, October 20 through Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Presentation Length: 60 or 90 minutes per session

Speaker Discount: $100 off registration


Submission Guidelines:

  • Relevance and Clarity: The content should be aligned with at least one of our conference tracks (i.e., Program Operations, Nutrition & Eating Environments, Advocacy & Emerging Issues, and Professional Growth & Self Care), plus provide interesting and useful information to our attendees. Learning objectives should be clearly stated in the description and articulate how the presentation will support attendees' learning and growth.

  • Engaging Format: Involves the audience, stimulates dialogue, and is consistent with the principles of effective adult learning.

  • ­Practical Application or Thought-Provoking: Presentations should provide take-away knowledge that can be used by participants in their day-to-day work, describe how ideas and methods can be transferred for use by others, offer how-to skills to improve performance; or reflects research and/or practical experience that is innovative and well-grounded. 


How to Apply

Complete proposals are due May 1, 2025, and must include the following:

  1. Workshop Title

  2. Workshop Description

  3. Level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)

  4. Track

  5. Intended Audience



Presenters will be notified about workshop selection before conference registration opens on July 1, 2025.


Additional Information

  • Audience: Attendees typically include professional child care, adult care, and afterschool CACFP operators; local, State and Federal level policy-makers, administrators, and leaders; advocates, researchers, trainers and others who support the CACFP. Average workshop size is expected to be about 50 attendees.

  • Presenter Registration: Presenters are encouraged to register and participate in the entire conference, but are not required to register. Lead presenters + up to 2 co-presenters will be offered $100 off currently available registration rates.

  • Honorarium: CACFP Roundtable does not award workshop presenters an honorarium. 

  • Screens, projectors, and AV tech support will be provided by CACFP Roundtable. Laptop computers and special AV requests are the responsibility of the presenter.

  • Presenter Responsibilities: Presenters are responsible for timely communication with the conference planning team and adequate preparation of their presentations. The CACFP Roundtable is promoting eco-friendly options and all handouts and all presentation materials are required to be shared digitally. 

  • Sales or promotional materials are not permitted during workshop presentations.

  • CACFP Roundtable reserves the right to make changes to proposed presentation titles and descriptions, to place sessions in alternative tracks, and to encourage joint presentations if multiple proposals are submitted on similar topics.​
